Everybody remembers the block...

"BLOCKED BY KORNET"

Nah, I'm just kidding, everybody knows what I am talking about.

LeBron being LeBron.

June 19th 2016, was the best playoff basketball game I have ever watched, but man, somehow the NBA has spoiled my generation with another game cut from that same cloth.

The best regular-season team of all time was facing off against LeBron James, trying to do the impossible... a 3-1 comeback and a championship for Cleveland. A moment Cleveland fans had been waiting for 52 years in all sports.

June 10, 2026 brought back similar feelings.

Not because it was identical. Not because the stakes were exactly the same. But because it carried the same sense of doing the impossible. The kind of game where you sit there after the final buzzer staring at your TV, paralyzed in shock by what the hell you just watched.

This time in a single game. The Knicks completed the largest comeback in NBA finals history, coming back from 29 points down against the Spurs in Game 4. Going from embarrassing themselves in the Garden to becoming forever remembered legends in New York Sports History.

Down 29 points at home. Madison Square Garden, eerily silent. With a championship dream on the line that New York's fan base has been waiting for 53 years.

Then somehow, someway, the New York Knickerbockers possession by possession started crawling back.

The noise in the Garden walked in tandem with the noise the Knicks were making on the court.

You blink, and a 29-point lead becomes 15. You blink again, and that insurmountable lead is now only at 1 point.

Knicks have the ball with 5 seconds left, Brunson heaves up a Hail Mary, and OG Anunoby answers the prayer with a flying tip-in that will cement him in basketball history forever.

The finale of the largest comeback in NBA Finals history.

We have watched NBA Finals history twice in only 10 years.

Moments like these are defining memories for an entire generation of basketball fans.

As a Gen Z, think about what I have grown up watching.

Lebron's block. Kyrie's shot. Kobe's last game. The Golden State Warriors Dynasty. Bam Adebayo for God's sake.

Now this.

The largest comeback in NBA Finals history.

We are spoiled.

We watched history in 2016.

Then watched it again 10 years later.

Not a lot of people give the NBA its flowers. But Gen Z should.
